Former DBS President Gobode was appointed as Vice Chairman of Keppel

Keppel Co., Ltd. issued a statement announcing the above appointments on Thursday (May 29). According to the statement, Gao Bode, 65, has 27 years of international banking experience and served as the president of DBS Group from November 2009 to March 2025. Before joining DBS, Gobold served as the president of Citigroup Southeast Asia.
Keppel Co., Ltd. Chairman Zhao Liangxi warmly welcomed Gao Bode's joining and said that his leadership experience in business and digital transformation will provide valuable support for Keppel to accelerate its goal of becoming a leading asset management and operation company in the world.
With the addition of Gobold, Keppel's board of directors will consist of nine directors, seven of whom are independent directors starting from July 1 this year.
Piyush Gupta, who stepped down as president of DBS Group in March this year, will become vice chairman and non-executive independent director of Keppel Ltd from July 1 this year.
Gobod holds a Bachelor of Delhi University of India and a Postgraduate Management Diploma from the Indian School of Management, Ahmedabad.
Gobert said Keppel is a Singapore iconic enterprise with a brilliant history and outstanding performance. At present, it is in an important stage of transformation. "I am full of expectations for the future and hope to contribute to Keppel's development."
Go Bode currently holds the chairman of the board of directors of Singapore Management University, the chairman of the board of directors of Mandai Park Holdings, and the board of directors of the National Research Foundation of Singapore (NRF), the Future Economy Advisory Panel of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship.
The statement said that as Keppel vice chairman, he will also join the Nomination Committee, Remuneration Committee and the Board of Directors' Sustainability and Safety Committee.
