According to "Football London.com", Liam Delap was sent off in the Carabao Cup match against Wolves. Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca will face the dilemma of missing a major player in the away game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Liam Delap's return from injury for Chelsea ended in disastrous fashion, with the striker shown a red card shortly after coming on as a substitute. The new summer signing has missed the past six weeks with a hamstring injury, but returned to play against Wolves in the Carabao Cup fourth round, only to receive two yellow cards within seven minutes of his return.

He received the first yellow card for pulling Yersin Mosqueira, and then quickly received the second yellow card for fouling Emmanuel Agbadu. Therefore, he will miss this weekend's key Premier League battle against arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur. But thankfully for Delap, his sending off didn't really affect the outcome.

Chelsea established its lead in the first half with goals from Andre Santos, Tyrique George and Esteban. The Wolves regained hope after pulling 2 goals in a row. Enzo Maresca then made many substitutions, including replacing Delap.

The forward was sent off after only 26 minutes after he came on the field, receiving two yellow cards for two consecutive unnecessary fouls. Jamie Gittens then scored Chelsea's fourth goal, and Wolfe's brace made the ending of the game full of suspense, but the Blues eventually managed to hold on to the victory and advance to the quarter-finals.

While promotion is a positive factor, Maresca will be affected by Delap's incident this weekend - due to the suspension penalty, which is likely to put more pressure on Joao Pedro, who already has health concerns. The coach also admitted that Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are currently suffering from injuries.

Maresca said frankly in an interview: "We still need to observe tomorrow. But yes, Enzo, Caicedo, Joao Pedro, they are all players who need our protection for different reasons."
