Early this morning, in the 6th round of Group K of the World Cup European qualifiers, England beat Serbia 5-0 away. Spencer came on as the substitute in this game and became the first Muslim player to represent England. He was interviewed after the game.

Spencer said: "I was surprised at the time because I didn't know that I was the first to achieve this, so it was like a gift. It was great to be able to create history, and I also hope to inspire children from all over the world to achieve their goals like me."
