British media: Manchester United failed to loan Menu and introduce Gallagher, Amorin feels very dissatisfied
According to footballtransfers, Manchester United coach Amorin was very dissatisfied with the club's failure to approve the loan from Maynu and ultimately failed to introduce his favorite midfielder.
Amorin is interested in Atletico Madrid's Gallagher, the former Chelsea midfielder is considered a more tenacious and flexible midfield choice. However, the club informed Amorin before the transfer deadline that Menu would stay in the team and would not introduce new players. Gallagher has been the long-term target of signings Amorin and Manchester United. Manchester United tried to sign him back in January but was told that the deal could not be reached and needed to wait until the summer to consider it. When United asked Simeone's side for Gallagher later this summer's transfer window, they were told that loan was impossible, and that United neither willing nor capable of making permanent transfer transactions.
On the other hand, Maynu himself was eager to leave Old Trafford for a loan opportunity. Amorin has made it clear that Menu is just a substitute for Bruno Fernandez in the midfield. The young England international is anxious to gain first-team match chances to improve himself, fearing that he might lose exposure before the 2026 World Cup.
Since Manchester United has no European competition and has been eliminated from the League Cup, Maynu's chances may be very limited. Amorin was dissatisfied with this because he was forced to leave behind a player who clearly stated that he did not want to stay at Manchester United, especially if he had the opportunity to sign Gallagher.
