According to the Sun, wild animals are often present on the A-52 road where the car accident occurred in Jota, which may be the cause of the tragedy of the car accident.

A reporter from the Sun passed along the route of the accident site and found two adult deer on a small road, less than half a mile from the location of the accident in Jota. The speed limit for the accident section is 120km/h, and Spanish investigators believe that the tire blowout may be the cause of the vehicle deviating from the road. But deer may also cause sudden steering of the vehicle, with many similar warning signs standing along the way.

Spanish police said they have not yet actively considered whether it was wild animals that caused the accident, but have not ruled out this possibility. Other animal hazards reportedly caused the accident in the area include Iberian wolf wandering in the driveway and herds of crows.

A52 was a well-known accident-prone site before the tragedy of Jota, partly due to its rugged terrain and numerous wildlife. "They increase the danger of the road, which is already one of the causes of a large number of accidents in the Castilla-Leon region," local sources said of animals wandering the area.
