"Lightmaker" Heinke: Restricted ASML, more competition will be brought
The author of "The Lightmaker", Dutch Technology and column writer Marc Hijink, said today that countries such as the United States are currently adopting export control measures against China, but if ASML is restricted from supplying ASML in China, it will bring more competition. The situation is just as NVIDIA executive director Huang Rensheng said. If H20 is not supplied to China, China will be over and will also bring competition to NVIDIA.
As for how Taiwan Power meets the challenges of ground politics, Heinke said that Taiwan Power's transistor round foundry market share exceeds 70%. Taiwan Power knows that the whole world is relying on it and is reducing related risks and investing in factories in the United States, Japan and Germany.
Marc Hijink, a financial journalist in the new Rotterdam in the Netherlands and a technology column writer, received ASML permission, contacted many of its crystal manufacturers and suppliers, and was involved in the ASML management level, and even invited to participate in investor meetings. He wrote ASML's growth story "The Lightmaker" in his first-person perspective, and today attended the "The Lightmaker" new book publisher conference held at the Dutch National Library of the SEMICON Taiwan International Semiconductor Exhibition.
When asked about the possible impact of ASML on various countries' control measures against China, Heinke said that in China's semiconductor manufacturing system, there are equipment factories that can remove the market from other equipment factories such as the United States. These equipment factories obtain information from people who have worked in equipment factories such as application materials to create and provide China with domestic alternatives.
Heinke said that chip manufacturing plants usually want the largest production capacity and will always choose the equipment with the highest investment rate. Although ASML equipment is expensive, it is usually the choice of chip manufacturing plants.
He said that if chip manufacturing plants cannot use ASML's equipment, they will inevitably use other equipment, which will also limit ASML's supply in China and will bring more competition.
Hiinke takes NVIDIA (NVIDIA) as an example. NVIDIA executive chief Huang Renjun once said that if H20 is not supplied to China, it will be overwhelming and bringing competition to NVIDIA.
