Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 scored a new high! Strong pressure Apple A19 Pro chip

Qualcomm officially launched the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii, providing the performance test results of QRD (Qualcomm Reference Design) reference design machine. The results have made a big improvement compared to the previous generation of Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, and the scores are also severely surpassing Apple's latest A19 chips.
This time, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 uses a t-electric 3 nanometer (N3P) process, bringing a comprehensive upgrade, and is equipped with the third-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU architecture, which is 20% higher in single cores and 17% higher in multi-cores; the new Adreno GPU architecture uses sliced architecture, which is as high as 1.2GHz, which improves image-intensive games by 23% and reduces power consumption by 20%; the Hexagon NPU has improved performance by 37% and power consumption by 16% higher than the previous generation.

Among them, the Oryon CPU architecture continues to have 2+6 full-core CPU configurations, 2 high-performance cores can reach up to 4.6GHz at 2 high-performance cores, and 6 performance cores can reach up to 3.62GHz at 6, providing smooth and fast computing experience in multiprocessing, content creation and game applications.
According to the Geekbench 6 version test, the single core running score of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is 3,811 points and multi-core running score of 12,117 points; Antutu scores total to 4.24 million points, of which the CPU is 1.26 million and the GPU is 1.42 million points; while the AI Antutu, which mainly focuses on AI-function computing, has an overall running score of 2.69 million points.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite launched by Qualcomm last year, in the Geekbench version 6, the Geekbench ST single core running score is 3,221 points and the MT multi-core running score is 10,426 points; the V6.3 version ST single core running score is 3,222 points and the MT multi-core running score is 10,444 points, which shows that the new representative is more eye-catching. As for Antutu running score is 3.01 million points, and AI Antutu running score is 2.01 million points.
In contrast, in the Geekbench 6 version of Apple's latest iPhone 17, the CPU single core running score is 3,584 points and the multi-core running score is 9,192 points; the Antutu score is 2.182 million points, of which the CPU is 750,000 points and the GPU is 780,000 points. Judging from the running score test conducted by Mr. Crazy, A19 single-core scored 3,608 points, multi-core scored 8,810 points; A19 Pro single-core scored 3,895 points, multi-core scored 9,746 points.
