Arrow partners with Nanoveu subsidiary EMASS to launch milliwatt edge AI chips

With the rapid growth of the edge AI market, Arrow Electronics announced its cooperation with EMASS, a new semiconductor company owned by Nanoveu Ltd, to accelerate the introduction of ultra-low-power edge AI chips ECS-DoT SoC. The chip has "milliwatt-level" power consumption and real-time inference capabilities, targeting application fields such as wearable devices, smart sensing, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
Arrow is an electronic components and technical services company that provides design, engineering support and supply chain integration services. EMASS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nanoveu, focusing on the development of ultra-low-power AI system-on-chip (SoC), focusing on the "Always-on, On-device Intelligence" architecture, which can perform real-time AI calculations without relying on the cloud.
The two parties will combine Arrow's engineering and design resources to jointly develop software development kits (SDKs), developer tools and reference designs, and promote related applications through the NTU-Arrow Invent Lab academic and research platform. At the same time, a demonstration circuit board (Evaluation Board) integrating ECS-DoT SoC will be launched to assist developers in testing chip performance and prototype design, and accelerate the development process from concept verification to mass production.
Mark Goranson, CEO of Nanoveu’s semiconductor business, said that this cooperation will allow ECS-DoT to enter the developer ecosystem faster and shorten the product introduction cycle. The two parties plan to showcase relevant technologies at the Singapore Innovation and Technology Week (SWITCH) and will expand cooperation with OEMs and system integrators in the future.
